Great piece, Blair. You make some really interesting points. Before reading this, I always thought that Buffer had a really good system for adjusting salaries based on locations -- https://buffer.com/salary/manager-of-operations/low.
In their system, you have a base salary that goes up or down based on location. And, I assume, it is adjusted if you decide to relocate.
That obviously doesn't cover all of the concerns you mention in this article, but do you think a more flexible salary system like Buffer's is a step in the right direction?
